Sales pages are so important to have for high ticket offerings. They provide your potential client with the info and messaging they need to take them from awareness ➡️ interest ➡️ desire ➡️ action.
Here are 3 ways to create higher-converting sales pages:
Before going into the features that your ideal client will get when they purchase (i.e. X amount of modules, X weeks of support, Voxer access, etc.) you should focus on how your offer will BENEFIT them (learn how to build a $10k/mo business, create a systematized business model that works for them, work less while making more money, etc.)
Do you know that old saying “rub salt on the wound”? That’s exactly what you want to do with your ideal client’s pain points in your sales page copy. Remember that the goal is to highlight their pain points – not make them feel like total crap. I like to start off with a section that states “Does this sound like you?” or “Tell me if this sounds familiar”, and list out 4-5 of the primary pain points your target market is struggling with. The more in-depth and detailed you can get with these pain points, the better!
It’s important to emphasize with your ideal client after pointing out all of their struggles. Let them know that you understand how it feels, and if you were once in their shoes, tell a brief story about the time when you went through the same struggles, and how you were able to overcome them to get to where you are today (which is likely where your ideal client aspires to be one day).
It’s important to show your ideal client that they don’t have to be struggling and that there is another, better way. This is where you can get them to envision where they COULD be – AKA, the results they could achieve when they sign up for your offer. This is where you want to go into detail about the benefits of your offer.
After you really target your ideal client’s pain points and show them the “other way” that is possible for them, you can get nitty-gritty and talk about all of the juicy details (features) they’ll get from your offer. Don’t go crazy with the copy and overwhelm your target, but break down everything in a clear and concise way that won’t leave them confused about what they will be paying for.
This is where we implement some sales psychology into our sales page. After listing all of the features, go and state the value of each individual feature (ex: 5 in-depth modules valued at $2,000 biweekly 1:1 calls valued at $5,000, etc.) Make sure the total value is much higher than the actual price of the offer itself. That way, your ideal client will feel like they are getting the offer at a steal – and as long as you deliver a great product/service, they absolutely will be!!!
Your sales page should be easy to navigate so your target market will be more likely to consume the entirety of the page. That’s where having a clean and attractive layout with sufficient white space (the negative space surrounding the page contents) comes into play. Your layout should draw initial interest, allow your reader to “breathe” between sections, and encourage them to go through the entire page without feeling overwhelmed.
Stop making your sales pages about you and start making them FOR your target market. This means including visuals they are drawn to and creating copy that speaks THEIR language, touches on THEIR pain points, and highlights the solution your offer will provide for THEM.
The entire purpose of a sales page is to encourage the visitor to take action to make a purchase – so don’t skimp out on calls to action! You should sprinkle CTA’s all throughout the sales page with bold buttons that stand out and encourage a higher click-through rate.
While including a FAQ section isn’t always necessary, I do suggest you include one on your sales page. I will usually include 5-6 FAQs in my sales pages, as this allows my target market to have clarity, and will lead to fewer questions being left unanswered.
